So with that in mind, here are your options for getting your sexy time on: It would be horrible for you to be spending all of your time flirting with one of your companions, only to get 1/3 of the way through the story and be told "Sorry, but I just don't dig you". So if you have someone in mind that you already want to romance, you need to make sure that you're picking the right race and gender for your character. It's also important to note that one missable achievement requires you to romance another character in your playthrough: On the other hand, a mage who goes with the Knight-Enchanter specialization can be quite the beast on the battlefield as well. It makes it easier if you need to run from battles since you're usually already at the back of the group, and you can pack quite the punch later on if you choose the right class specialization. So for me, I always played with a Human Archer. Other than that restriction, race doesn't have any impact on your character's stats. It should be noted that Dwarven characters cannot pick the mage class. So if you're looking for a bit of an easier time, I'd say either roll your Inquisitor as a Rogue archer or go with a Mage. If I'm being honest, only 2 battles in this game ever gave me any real trouble, but the first one happens to be right at the end of the prologue. The choices you make here can either make or break your nightmare run. Before the game even really begins, you get to customize your character.
